Fairfield Inn Port Huron

Update on previous review at the bottom I was charged an additional fee after I made the initial review at the bottom that was not on my check out bill of a 105 dollar cleaning fee and a $150 for a new mattress which I know is total bull because what queen size mattress cost $150 and they thought they were billing my company but the company took all that money back out of my check so I will be making a call to corporate with receipts and pictures Previous review made: Where can I begin the service was great the room was great and me and my son really enjoyed the inside pool and hot tub. I especially enjoyed the letters being left everyday by housekeeping because it brought me a little more ease with being a traveling nurse but can’t wait to include them in my blog of my first time being a traveling nurse

Rooms have plenty of lighting if needed. The bins for garbage had no liners - I used my own. Microwave & frig were clean. They also provide shampoo, conditioner & body wash in shower dispensers which is always nice. Breakfast was amazing ! They offered a variety of options like yogurt/oatmeal bar, hot & very fresh hot breakfast daily & was different every morning. The breakfast burritos were great ( a nice touch for grab & go ) . They had 2 waffle makers along with bagels, muffins & fresh coffee, tea or hot chocolate. The staff was very friendly . Pool & hot tub area were clean & really nice attached outdoor sitting area for warmer days. I would recommend for a pleasant stay for anyone. The hotel in general is nice & quiet too. Plenty of parking .

I had a great stay here. I wasn’t expecting much from the outside but the inside lobby was very nice. Both ladies who checked me in and out were very friendly. The rooms were clean and I enjoyed the TV’s having cable plus Netflix and YouTube. The room had a mini fridge and a microwave which was nice. A lot of the hotels I stay at don’t have microwaves anymore. The bed was comfy. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic.

We left another hotel for it not being ready at check in, hot rooms and dirty looking room and linens and went to this hotel. Prices was way higher as a walk in than online but she honored the price for us. We asked to see the room and she seemed irritated but offered to. Took us to the room. It was cool down the hallway and in the room with the ability to open the window and I said at night in the 50s I’ll open it with our fan in it if I have to to stay cool. Everything looked clean on the surface. The mattress was stained but not bedbugs just soiled. But there was layers on it so we was okay. They need to use mattress bags. Anyways we wanted the room she got us hooked up for two nights and can’t give us a receipt or anything proving the price but she took a photo of them screen for us. The shower in our room was amazing if you like a good powerful shower. It was great and our favorite part of the hotel. Bee was soft but supportive. Linens was clean looking and smelled good. The AC was nice and cold for us. Hotels are ruining the experience with these sensors that shuts the air off too much and controlling what we are allowed. It’s our room. We also heard some managers expect maids to turn the air warm or cool in winter in peoples paid for rooms and that’s not cool. Thankful ours didn’t have that happen. Anyways no complaints on the room. Breakfast the first morning was absolutely great everything was stocked well and delicious. Our second morning however nothing was stocked, what was stocked was cold, oatmeal was out, one terrible looking sausage patty, no sandwiches, blueberry compote wasn’t blueberry, no bowls, no fruit the list goes on and on. She seen us looking for food and said give her a minute. Anyways once things began being stocked the sausage was totally different than the day before I took a bite and spit it out instantly. It was horrible. Breakfast sandwich frozen in middle. It was not good. So Sundays crew and food was amazing Mondays not so much. What a difference a day makes. Had breakfast been as good on Monday my rating would have went up. Staff was all friendly and spoke to you. Was polite and considerate. Both Mondays breakfast girls I’m not sure was washing their hands between garbage take out, food handling, front desk duty and loading up cutlery. The waffles was great! Not a fan of seeing 3 separate pending charges on our credit card holding money without our knowledge and random amounts for a 2 nights stay.

Excellent experience 5 ⭐ Very clean rooms. Very accommodating staff. Great morning breakfast... Very pleased with our experience. The only issue was the chlorine in the pool it was very strong other then that it was a wonderful experience. Thank you so much !

Hotel is close to the bridge and in the middle of Kroger and Birchwood Mall. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Staff is very friendly. Pool was a bit cold (needs heater) and hot tub little tooo hot (chlorine bit strong). My husband and son did play in the pool for an hour. Breakfast was awesome. Lots of variety. I haven’t been to this hotel since I was 16 and there’s lots of upgrades :)

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites! The staff was excellent — every single person I interacted with was friendly, professional, and went out of their way to make the stay feel welcome. They were extremely nice and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed throughout my stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

I had a horrible experience last time with the plumbing in my room not working. The manager reached out after to try to make up for it. We gave it another shot and were even given the same room and the facilities are fixed and the front desk staff were pleasant
